CVS FERRARI APPOINTS WINDSOR MATERIAL HANDLING AS ITS DISTRIBUTOR FOR THE UK

Founded on service in 1976, the Windsor name has been synonymous with materials handling and access systems for over 45 years, providing a first-class range of forklift truck and access platform hire, sales, and maintenance services.

Consistent with its strategy of progressive strengthening of its sales and service network through the appointment of structured distributors, CVS FERRARI has entered into a long term agreement with Windsor Materials Handling through which the latter has become CVS official dealer for the United Kingdom staring from June 2024.

Over this period Windsor has grown into the largest independently owned materials handling company in the UK. Yet, the company remains family owned and run to this day with this family ownership ensuring longevity, integrity and flexibility for its customers –something that is rare in the current age. This corporate DNA has enable Windsor to offer the professionalism and financial security of a large corporate but that at the same time is not constrained by rigid management structures and decision making processes.

A distinguishing element of Windsor’s offering is the personal levels of service they provide to their customers. Windsor dedicates engineers to its customers so that they quickly develop have a greater understanding of the users’ requirements, habits, equipment fleet as well as work site structure, organization and safety procedures. This approach also gives the customer’s dedicated engineer full knowledge of the equipment history and of any prior faults ensuring that they can troubleshoot quickly and efficiently.

Windsor currently employs 238 individuals of which 117 are service engineers and has a relatively short management structure. The business continues to grow year on year with geographical expansion being a continued aspiration. The addition of CVS FERRARI’s product portfolio that includes modern, energy saving conventionally powered Reach Stackers and Heavy Duty Forklifts with capacities starting from 20 ton and up to 48 Ton, along with revolutionary innovative and energy regenerative, diesel-electric-hybrid and even full-electric empty container handlers, will give Windsor a state-of-the-art competitive product line at the high side of their very complete offering.

CVS FERRARI has recently become part of the TAYLOR Group that in February 2024 acquired the majority of the company shares in a move that is bound to boost the already remarkable growth performed by tin the last few years and considerably accelerate the expansion of the brand in new markets and product segments.

With reference to the UK, the association of CVS Ferrari with Windsor Materials Handling has jump-started with the arrival in the UK of a 32 Tonner destined to a big name of the European RoRo, shortsea and multi-modal transportation due for early August 2024, whilst before the end of the year the first full-electric empty container handler should be commissioned to a customer in Hull, that also happened to be home to the HQs of Windsor Materials Handling.
