“Taylor Power Systems was honored to win the inaugural Mississippi Manufacturers Association Mississippi Makers’ Challenge with its TM1000 mobile generator. The Mississippi Manufacturers Association presented the award on April 13, 2022, to the Taylor Group CEO, Lex Taylor, and several Taylor Power Systems employees during a luncheon at the Old Capitol Inn in Jackson, MS.
The MS Makers’ Challenge contest was open to all manufacturers in Mississippi, with the purpose of crowning a product as the ‘Coolest Thing Made in Mississippi’. In total 88 products were submitted by companies throughout the state of Mississippi. After the initial round of voting, only 16 products advanced to a bracket style competition. The Taylor Power Systems TM1000 was able to progress through each round due to the overwhelming support from employees, family members, and partners. In total, the TM1000 received 25,524 votes.”
The TM1000 is a container-based portable generator that is powered by twin 500 kW tier 4 final Volvo Penta engines. It is utilized by equipment rental companies, first responders, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, and any other business that needs a considerable volume of immediate power.
