With the recently announced opening of the new Terberg Taylor Americas manufacturing facility, a new opportunity for local community business collaboration presented itself effortlessly for three nearby businesses in the Golden Triangle area.
“Before trucks rolled off the assembly line of Terberg Taylor Americas, we contacted our neighboring manufacturer, PACCAR, along with TCW, to inquire if they would like to be the recipient of one of the first US-built terminal tractors,” commented Hal Nowell, Terberg Taylor Americas board member.
Phillip Brewer, Terminal Manager for TCW, the Client Tailored Transportation Solutions company for PACCAR was instrumental in making this happen. Ben Banks, Vice President of Operations for TCW, commented, “Servicing the PACCAR engine plant’s needs with a terminal tractor built across the street at the new Terberg Taylor facility makes perfect sense from a community partnership perspective. We’re honored to be able to put this first truck through its paces and excited to see what additional value and efficiencies this will bring to all three parties.”
Terberg Taylor Americas, PACCAR, and TCW —Three organizations working together to bring a “win-win” for the local Golden Triangle Community. Ranging with over 75 years to almost 120 years in business, these companies started small and know the importance of working together for the betterment of local communities. They have never forgotten their humble beginnings before successfully growing into well-known companies.
