Taylor Promotes Van Der Merwe to Texas Sales Manager

Taylor Machine Works, Inc. has promoted Ockerd Van Der Merwe to Texas Sales Manager, where he will lead sales efforts across the state with a focus on customer growth and expanded market presence.

Van Der Merwe began his career at Taylor as a Parts and Service Sales Representative in West Texas, building hands-on product expertise and customer relationships from the ground up. He later served as Texas Equipment Coordinator for Taylor Leasing and Rental before advancing to Regional Sales Manager.

“Ockerd’s journey at Taylor is a testament to his adaptability, leadership, and dedication to our customers,” said Hal Nowell, Director of Sales. “His comprehensive knowledge of our products and markets, combined with his genuine ability to build strong relationships, makes him an excellent fit for this role.”

In his new position, Van Der Merwe will work to deepen existing customer partnerships while broadening Taylor’s reach throughout Texas.
