Regan C. Monk Named Deputy General Counsel

The Taylor Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that Regan C. Monk has joined the company as Deputy General Counsel, effective July 1, 2026.

Monk brings a practical and comprehensive legal background to The Taylor Group, with experience spanning litigation, labor and employment matters, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, risk management, real estate transactions, and estate administration. Prior to joining Taylor, he practiced law with the Mitchell McNutt law firm in Columbus, Mississippi, where he maintained a broad general practice representing individuals, businesses, and governmental entities across a wide range of legal matters.

Monk is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi and is an active member of the Mississippi Bar. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mississippi State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While attending law school, he served as an Associate Cases Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal.

In addition to his legal career, Monk serves as a Captain in the Mississippi Army National Guard and as an Armor Officer in the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team. Throughout his military service, he has held several leadership roles, including Tank Platoon Leader, Troop Commander, Executive Officer, and Battalion Plans Officer.

Beyond his professional and military responsibilities, Monk serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Winston Academy and is a member of Rotary International.

Monk and his wife, Madelyn, reside in Louisville, Mississippi, with their four children. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, hunting, and traveling with his family.
