These new reach stackers, the Taylor ZRS-1272, Taylor XRS-1180, and Taylor XRS-1190, provide operators with the ability to handle containers weighing up to 120,000 pounds while maintaining the versatility, productivity, and operational efficiency required for everyday container handling applications.

As global supply chains evolve and industries such as battery manufacturing, energy storage, and data centers continue to expand, ports, intermodal facilities, and construction crews are encountering containers that exceed the lifting capabilities of conventional reach stackers. Taylor’s latest machines address this market need by delivering enhanced lifting performance without increasing equipment footprints or sacrificing operating and storage space their facilities demand.

Leading the new lineup is the Taylor ZRS-1272, a battery-electric, zero-emission reach stacker capable of lifting and loading containers that weigh up to 120,000 pounds. The ZRS-1272 retains the capabilities and physical envelope of our conventional reach stackers, while offering increased lifting performance for ultra-heavy containers. This reach stacker is purpose-built to handle all standard port and terminal operations, while also providing operators with the ability to safely handle cargo that exceeds the capacity limits of traditional equipment. The Taylor ZRS-1272 offers customers a solution that combines sustainability goals with the heavy-lift capability increasingly required in today’s container-handling environment.

For customers operating in emissions compliant IC diesel environments, the Taylor XRS-1180 delivers standard lift capability up to 110,000 pounds. Based on the proven XRS-1075 platform, the XRS-1180 provides operators with the flexibility to manage everyday container operations while remaining prepared for heavy-container moves that require additional capacity.  This reach stacker is ideally suited for handling containers associated with battery manufacturing, energy storage equipment, and other high-density freight that can weigh well beyond the limits of conventional lift equipment. Special application ratings can further increase lifting capacities of the XRS-1180 up to 120,000 pounds.

The new Taylor XRS-1190 was specifically engineered for the unique demands of rail and intermodal operations. Hydraulic stabilizers positioned between the front drive tires allow the XRS-1190 to provide additional stability and help maintain heavy lift capacities during long-reach operations. This specialized design allows operators to reach across one rail line to access and handle containers positioned on a second adjacent rail track, a common requirement in high-volume intermodal facilities. This additional lift capacity makes the XRS-1190 particularly valuable for rail operators handling increasingly heavy cargo. Like the XRS-1180, the XRS-1190 is available with special application ratings that can accommodate loads up to 120,000 pounds.
