Taylor Promotes Matt Hillyer to Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering


Robert Taylor, President and Chief Operation Officer, stated, “I am pleased to announce the promotion of our Director of Engineering, Matt Hillyer, to the new position of Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering. Matt’s tenure with Taylor for over 28 years has allowed him to bring new insight and direction for the future of Taylor products. We look forward to the new innovations Matt and his team will bring in manufacturing and engineering to the Taylor Group of Companies. After graduating from Mississippi State University in 1995, Matt Hillyer began working on the Taylor team as a design engineer in the front-end attachment group. In 2001, Matt was promoted to Product Assurance, and then in 2017, Matt became the Director of Engineering. In Product Development, Matt has been heading up a department of over 45 employees separated into disciplines specializing in attachment design, chassis design, powertrain systems, BEV systems and power systems, electronics, vehicle controls, analysis, and testing and certification. Matt is a licensed Professional Engineer; almost half of Matt’s staff are registered professional engineers. In 2024, Robert Taylor announced Matt Hillyer’s promotion to Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering.
